We have all been told, to practice gratitude, be grateful for what you have, that is the secret. The truth is sure, that works, but it's hardly a secret to actual sustainable success, when you are really down and out. Or really scared or ashamed. Those low vibrations make living life much like walking through mud, and being thankful isn't really the boost that moves you up and sustains you.
Now don't get me wrong, it is a great tool and it's one to definitely practice, and it's easier to use and maintain the higher up the vibration scale you move.
Did you know that Peace is actually a higher vibration than love? So is Joy!
The goal is to be able to be at peace, more often and longer as we walk our journey and explore our adventures. But how do we get there? You will be happy to hear you don't have to meditate every day for hours to achieve the goal.
In fact it's something you can do standing in line at the grocery store, or in the waiting room for an interview or an appointment, even while commuting to work or walking around the block. The key is to ask yourself - am I at peace? Am I feeling peaceful? |
When you get a no, you simply shift into love. And start naming all of the things you love. I love a warm shower. I love my son's laughter. I love my daughter's smiling eyes and freckles. I love french toast with whipped butter. I love how I feel in my comfy, 10 year old sweats. It can be anything, people, places, things, smells, sounds, the way things feel or taste. It just has to be something you actually love! When you are focusing on just the things you love, your body and brain and energy field are then holding that higher vibration. And here is the cool part, holding and acknowledging all of that love, that often brings a smile to your face right? And that means we are leveling up, from Love and into Joy. |
I am going to give you a sad example, that I think almost every person has experienced. Death of a loved one or a pet. You know how that grief journey just moves into you, from shock and stunned to sadness, even anger.
But what happens when you start to talk about the person that has died? Someone says something like remember the time that we all went camping, and Bob lost his keys and was locked out of his camper and truck?
and they start to laugh and so do you. The focus has shifted from that sad loss, and is now on a funny memory, and that has bumped up the vibration.

And now a happy example, have you ever seen someone in love? That smitten smile they can't get off their face, that joyful vibe no matter what happens. Spilled latte, oh well it's funny.
You have seen that feeling in action, hopefully even felt it. That body is holding the vibration of love, and joy, and that means they are at a minimum dipping into peace on a regular basis. |
You too can get there, all by yourself, just listing and focusing on the things you really love. And it's perfectly fine to stop listing and drop into a remembering.
Let's use a hot shower as the example. I really do love a good shower! That feeling when the water is just the right temperature, and your shoulders drop down, releasing the tension they have been holding. That sigh that just happens. The scent of your favorite soap or shampoo, or maybe you even have some eucalyptus leaves in the bathroom and the humidity has started to allow them to release their scent.

Maybe it's a place you have always wanted to visit, or a food you have always wanted to try, or even a scene from a movie oh I want a house with THAT bedroom design. Could even be a car, or camper, even a cabin in the woods.
And here's the cool extra that comes with all of this. When you are in love with something, and thinking about all the details, and smiling. You are also putting in your order to the universe, to bring just such a thing or experience into your life!
